All four shows play at Le Monde on George Street, one after another. Same door, same bar, no running across town between venues.

The 18:30 and 19:00 shows overlap, so it's one or the other. Both 2-for-1 nights are four-show nights.

The shows

From Wichita session player to Rhinestone Cowboy, and the long goodbye that followed. Campbell's life traced from uncredited Wrecking Crew guitarist and briefly a touring Beach Boy, through the hits, and on through the addiction and illness of his later years. Wichita Lineman, Gentle on My Mind, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Galveston and Rhinestone Cowboy — played live and in full.
At the Fringe Lars plays it solo; the touring production plays with a full band. Third consecutive year at the Fringe, and it has toured UK theatres through 2025 and 2026, including Theatre Royal Winchester, The Stables Milton Keynes and St George's Theatre Great Yarmouth.

Two voices a third apart, close enough to sound like one. Don and Phil Everly's run of hits between 1957 and 1962 rewrote what a pop vocal could be, and the debt owed by the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and the Hollies has never really been repaid. Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Cathy's Clown, All I Have to Do Is Dream and Let It Be Me — played live throughout.
At the Fringe this is the duo show: two voices, two guitars, nothing else. Back for a second Edinburgh year with the same pair who played it in 2025.

Jimmy Lee · 19:00
An hour of Bob Dylan's songs — not impersonation, but interpretation. Bristol-born multi-instrumentalist Jimmy Lee has recorded several albums and toured the USA, Japan, Europe and the UK. Here he moves between the well-known and the less-travelled — Blowin' in the Wind, Mr Tambourine Man, Make You Feel My Love — with the arrangements kept spare enough that the words carry.
Edinburgh Fringe debut.
The Story of Johnny Cash and June Carter · 20:00
The Man in Black, the woman who kept him alive, and the songs that came out of it. Cash's rise, his collapse, and June Carter's part in pulling him out of it, told between the songs. Folsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire, Jackson and I Walk the Line — played live throughout.
At the Fringe this is the two-hander: Lars Pluto (vocals, guitar, writer) and Jane Alexandra (vocals). The touring production plays with a full company; this is the pair of them and the songs. Fresh from a UK theatre tour.

All four shows play at Le Monde in Edinburgh's New Town — a licensed, air-conditioned venue with a full bar and restaurant, a few minutes from the Assembly Rooms and St Andrew's Square. Not a Fringe basement.

About
Plutonium Productions (Plutonium Stage Productions) is a UK theatre production company making live music theatre — shows built around great songbooks, played live by real musicians, with the story told straight. The company is led by performer-producers Lars Pluto, Jane Alexandra & Phil Bloomberg, whose productions tour theatres and arts centres across the UK year-round.
The current repertoire spans four shows: Rhinestone Cowboy — The Glen Campbell Story, written and performed by Lars Pluto; Johnny and June, telling the story of Johnny Cash and June Carter with a full live band; The Everly Brothers by Candlelight, an evening of close-harmony classics (appearing at the Fringe as A Date with the Everly Brothers, performed by Cal Clark and Craig Boyd); and Positively Dylan, Jimmy Lee's acoustic celebration of the Bob Dylan songbook. This August all four play the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at Le Monde — back after a successful 2025 run.
